Art Gallery of Greater Victoria - Opened in 1951, the gallery possesses notable works by artists such as Emily Carr, and has Canada's most significant collection of Asian art. It is also home to the only authentic Japanese Shinto Shrine in North America.  Estimated Duration 1.5h. Admission Fee $13 per adult

British Columbia Forest Discovery Centre - The BC Forest Discovery Centre is a 100-acre, open air museum with an operational railway in Duncan, British Columbia (about 1 - 1.5 hours away from Abigail's by car).  The Centre features forest and marsh trails with excellent bird watching opportunities. The story of BC's forest industry is shared through exhibits, heritage buildings, and logging artifacts.  Special events are offered throughout the year that  include family activities and workshops for adults and seniors.

Martime Museum of British Columbia - Exhibits and artifacts of British Columbia's maritime heritage, from Captain Cook, Canadian Pacific Steamships, to the Royal Navy. Estimated duration: 1h. Admission fee: $12 per adult

Emily Carr House - Emily Carr House is the former home of Emily Carr who is one of Canada's greatest and loved artists.  She is famous for her landscape and native paintings of Western Canada. Estimated duration: 30 to 60 min. Admission fee: $6 per adult

Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse - Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse are national historic sites just 20 minutes from Abigail's Hotel. Fort Rodd Hill is a coast artillery fort built in the late 1890s to defend Victoria and the Esquimalt Naval Base. Fisgard Lighthouse, built in 1929, is Canada's first lighthouse on the west coast. Estimated Duration: 1h. Admission fee: $3.90.

Hatley Castle - Built in 1908 by former BC Premier and Lieutenant Governor James Dunsmuir, the Castle has been a dormitory for cadets, military college and training facility for the RCMP. It is now home to Royal Roads University and has beautiful Italian and English gardens. Estimated Duration: 1.5h. Admission fee: free.

The Royal & MacPherson Theatres - Live theatres offering a variety of professional, community and amateur events including the Pacific Opera, National Ballet of Canada and many other great performers.

The Belfry Theatre - Professional contemporary theatre company, with an emphasis on Canadian work, promoting artistic, cultural and educational events.

Victoria Conservatory of Music - Offers a variety of performances ranging from classical to popular, early music to opera and solo performances

Royal British Columbia Museum - The Royal BC Museum Corporation is one of the foremost cultural institutions in the world.
