This is a gem! Well located near downtown - walk to harbor, government center, Empress Hotel, etc.
Beautiful small hotel with wonderful staff and a fabulous chef cooking full breakfast to order and preparing evening hors d'oevres to go with the wine - either theirs or yours.
Pastries baked fresh every morning to go with your included breakfast.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the whole place has charm in abundance.
Short walk to several good restaurants for lunch or dinner, and an easy drive to all of the attractions that Victoria has to offer. Just about 1 mile from the ferry terminal to go to Port Angeles.
You'll enjoy your stay. Our only regret was that we just had one night at Abigail's!!

  • The Best!

Not often everything is better than expectations but our stay here so exceeded expectations, in every way, that only the highest accolades apply. Starting with our arrival, the staff was warm, attentive, and eager to please. The Opal room was absolutely clean and beautiful, filled with comfy furniture and an inviting bed on which there was a welcome note (for my bday), cookies and chocolates.
Late afternoon (5-7) food offerings (part of the stay) included a wonderfully fresh salad, a large cheese selection, meats(charcuterie ) and delicious roast tomato soup (I was tempted to cancel dinner reservations). Breakfast by chef Josh was outstanding, served with charm and delicious.
    All was elegant and beautiful.
This is truly a lovely place to stay and in my opinion far better than the huge hotels at the wharf.

  • A Wonderful Find

A rare 5 star rating from me, as I always feel there is room for improvement. However, Abigail's was so good, beautifully decorated, pristine throughout, service impeccable and friendly, knowledgeable front of house staff. The breakfast room service was also excellent, again competent, efficient staff. Great choice of breakfast to start the day. The added bonus of complimentary hors d'oeuvres late afternoon was a very nice touch. Well done Abigail's

  • The Best Place to Stay in Victoria

We had a wonderful stay at Abigail's Hotel (June 26-29, 2016). From our arrival to departure, they treated us like royalty.
Each day began with a delicious breakfast served to us by fantastic wait staff (best eggs benedict EVER!) and every evening included freshly made hors d'oeuvres. All meals were prepared in-house (great chefs!) and always included gluten free options.
We really appreciated the little extras that Abigail's provided such as the NHL version of Monopoly in the games room (lots of fun!), and the daily weather forecast included on the printed breakfast menus. But, it was the staff's dedication and passion to their work that helped to make our stay even more enjoyable. Their positive attitudes were genuine.
We highly recommend you stay at Abigail's when visiting Victoria.

The room was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable. Even the sheets are called Comphy and we ordered some for our home! The bath products are first class. The best part of this hotel is their awesome fresh and delicious breakfast prepared by chef Josh. We loved every moment in this quiet, tucked away and yet extrememly accessible hotel. We walked everywhere and never used a car or taxi. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We came to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we were thrilled with our choice of Abigail's!
