Investors Group Stars on Ice presented by Lindt continues to be a pioneer in figure skating by offering Canadian fans the rare opportunity to witness some of the country’s most accomplished and artistically gifted champions performing together in both individual and ensemble routines. Also joining this year’s cast of 2016 Canadian national champions are 2010 Olympic Gold Medallists, two-time World Champions and six-time Canadian Champions Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir; Olympic Bronze Medallist and six-time Canadian Champion Joannie Rochette; Olympic Bronze Medallist, World Champion and three-time Canadian Champion Jeffrey Buttle and 2014 Olympic Silver Medallist and two-time Canadian National Champion Kaetlyn Osmond. Four-time World Champion and four-time Canadian Champion Kurt Browning will make guest appearances at select shows throughout the tour. 

Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival

The 153st Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival celebrates Scottish music, culture and arts.  Events occur for a full week prior to the Games & Celtic Festival to enable a 10 day celebration of Scottish and Celtic arts, music and sport kicking off with the Tartan Parade through downtown Victoria the Saturday prior to the Games weekend and including the Kilted Golf Tournament, Tilted Kilt Pubcrawl and Torchlight Clan ceremony.

Cheese and Meat Festival

The first festival oriented to showcasing cheese and meat arrives in Victoria on May 21st. With the recent boom in artisan shops across the capital region the Cheese and Meat festival aims to showcase both international and local cheese and meat in an experiential tasting format.  Attendees will walk at leisure around the grounds enjoying bite size tastes of cheese and meat while pairing the bites with wine, beer, and cider. It is an exciting time in Victoria. The festival will consist of two tasting sessions. The afternoon tasting will take place from 3:00pm – 5:30pm and the evening tasting will take place from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. In-between each tasting seminars will take place showcasing cheese and eat creation, pairings, and unique offerings.

Island Farms Victoria Day Parade

Celebrate Victoria Day in British Columbia's capital city at the 118th Island Farms Victoria Day Parade! This is Victoria's largest parade, attracting well over 100,000 people. It features Canadian and American marching bands, hundreds of floats, cultural shows and festive clowns. Led by the Canadian Forces, this annual event is free and fun for the whole family!

If you wish to watch the whole parade it will take approximately 3 hours to pass by, so come prepared - bring a blanket or a folding chair, drinks & snacks to keep you comfortable. Don't forget an extra jacket if it is cool, an umbrella if it is raining, or hats and sunscreen if it is sunny!
